What do you think Obama will do for you? Seriously. Commentary by Marx and Lenin.

“Obama! Obama! Yes we can! Yes we can!”

Yes we can what exactly? Apparently you don’t feel like you can or you wouldn’t be hoping that a Presidential candidate will come along and do it for you. You are unhappy with your life and it has to be someone else’s fault doesn’t it? Your life isn’t what you want it to be. You are miserable and someone needs to pay for the situation that you are in. It isn’t fair that you are working two jobs or are on welfare while other people are relaxing on their yachts. It isn’t fair that you are raising six kids by yourself while that rich couple sends their kids to the best private school. It is time to level the playing field because it just isn’t fair.
Now someone has finally come along that finally promises to do that for you. You haven’t heard anyone like him before. He says things like “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” He also says, “If the people cannot trust their government to do the job for which it exists – to protect them and to promote their common welfare – all else is lost.” After all, it’s the government’s job to promote your welfare isn’t it?
I have news for you. This has all been said and done before. Unfortunately, it succeeded convincing the masses that change was necessary before, especially for the lower class. There was another man who came with this philosophy in the 19th century. He said that change was needed too. He said, “The worker of the world has nothing to lose, but their chains, workers of the world unite.” He wasn’t selfish either unlike capitalists like me. He said, “History calls those men the greatest who have ennobled themselves by working for the common good; experience acclaims as happiest the man who has made the greatest number of people happy.” This man was Karl Marx. However, Marx didn’t live to see his dream realized. However, another picked it up. This man said things like, “Crime is a product of social excess” and “Can a nation be free if it oppresses other nations? It cannot.” Everyone loved this man and so Russia’s Red October began. His name was Vladimir Lenin.
I know, it sounds crazy to compare Obama with Communists. However, if you can compare him to Jesus then I can compare Obama to Lenin. There are much more similarities there. Lenin even had the same economic plan. Lenin once said, “The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.” That is Obama’s plan in a nutshell.
Listen, Communism failed. Socialism in any form doesn’t work. It won’t make you any better off. It will just bring others down to where you are. Later you will find out that you are actually worse off. The only comfort that you will have is that everyone else is to.
I challenge you to take responsibility for yourself. Instead of waiting for Obama to take someone else’s pie and give it to you (he won’t, like Lenin before him, he will keep it for himself), go out and make your own pie. There are too many people in our great country who have gone from poverty to riches to throw away our system yet. It isn’t easy, but if you want a better life, capitalism gives you the best chance.
However, if our nation insists on going down this path, let’s not pretend to be following the principles of our Founding Fathers or our Constitution. If you want a new government, let’s just call it that. Let’s at least give our Constitution a respectful burial. We might as well change the flag because it stands for something other than the government you want. Take down Lady Liberty. Melt down the Liberty Bell. Liberty will be dead after all. We will lose the right to pursue happiness. We will be told what our children must be taught, the doctor we have to go to, when our kids have to be vaccinated, what we have to believe, and how much money is too much. Our radio stations will have to present the issues in a way that our government deems fair. You want have the right to bear arms as Lenin said, “One man with a gun can control 100 without one.”
Another quote of Lenin, “Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.” Is more government what you really want? Do you really want your children programmed by your government?
